Caramel Sauce

Postby sheffy » Mon Jul 06, 2009 6:30 pm

This is heaven served over just about everything!

250 ml cream
three-quarters of a cup brown sugar
three-quarters of a cup of unsalted butter

Combine everything in a small saucepan and bring to the boil over a medium heat. Simmer for 2 minutes.
(I bet this is nice over ice cream or any puddings and easier than custard!)

That sounds really nice, but have you ever made that really easy caramel sauce from boiling a tin of condensed milk? It's lush and couldn't be simpler.

Caramel topping that isn't rich or gooey? I agree with you - no thanks! Super review. .
