The Cadburys board have rejected the latest offer despite it showing a 30% increase on shares this week. The facilty at Somerdale is due to be closed and Cadburys plan is to invest the money into the facility at Bourneville. If they excepted the offer Kraft have stated that they would not want to close the Somerdale facility, both saving and creating additional jobs.
Will unemployment rising this surely must be a good idea and would make them part of a bigger recession proof company. Any views?
