Thanks Carl. I put a post on Dig and another on Myspace and... if you search 'thelunchbox dereham' on google you find my website. However it comes up listed 'Page Title' and this appears in the tab when you load it. Any idea how I change this to something more meaningfull.

I mentioned this in my first post on your 'review my website' thread.
See what happens when you dont pay attention :thuleft:

Page titles are very important for placing your most valuable keywords.
Within the Html it is located in the head of the document
I dont use publisher but im sure you could find out how to edit a title fairly easy,

<!doctype html public "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft Publisher 2000">
<meta name="description" content="Buffetts and Catering for all occasions. Business Meetings, Weddings, Parties, Family Gatherings. Celebrations.">
<meta name="keywords" content="noffolk buffett bufet wedding party catering dereham swanton morley cake sandwich pie lunch business meeting ">
<title>Page Title</title></head>
<body bgcolor="#ffffff" link="#333333" vlink="#6633cc" text="#000000" topmargin=0 leftmargin=0>
<a name=top></a>

Hi Carl, sorted the page titles and listed my site on even more places. I'll keep listing it here and there. At present it can be found on Google and that was all I was after. I think it looks prety good at present and is clean and simple to navigate with the info people need in an easy to find/read and plesant format. I'll be adding pecipies and more pictures over the coming weeks. We'll see how good it gets.

Maybe you should add your web address and a link to your signature on the forum, Lunchbox?

Did you know?

Postby webguyXP » Mon Mar 16, 2009 9:41 pm

Did you know?

More than 8 out of 10 Internet users look on search engines to find information and the products or services they want to buy.
Up to 85% of searchers ignore paid listings.
63% of the top natural (organic) listings get click throughs.
Natural (organic) search results convert 30% higher than PPC.

Just been reading some SEO blogs and thought this may be of interest.
Thanks

Fair enough figures, last one is particularly interesting, it would also be interesting the hear the varying percentages/opinions of how much of that 30% converts.
